We're a small joinery workshop in Sydney's Inner West. Every wardrobe, kitchen and cabinet we make is measured to the millimetre, built by hand in our Marrickville shed, and fitted to last a lifetime — not flat-packed and forgotten.

What we make
Three things, done properly.
We don't try to be everything. We build the pieces a home lives around — storage, kitchens and the custom joinery that makes an awkward space work.
Kitchens
Cabinetry, benchtops and pantries built as one considered piece — laid out for how you cook, finished in timber, laminate or two-pack to suit the room and the budget.
Custom joinery
Bookshelves, media units, window seats, laundries, understair storage — the built-in pieces that turn a room's dead space into the part everyone uses.

Measure
We come to you, measure the space and talk through how you'll use it. Free, no obligation.

Design & quote
You get a drawing and a fixed quote — materials, finishes and a firm price, itemised.

Build
Your piece is made by hand in our Marrickville workshop, usually within three to four weeks.
4
Install
We fit it in a day or two, scribe it to your walls, and leave the site cleaner than we found it.

The workshop
One workshop, one set of hands on every job.
Sandbrook started in 2009 with a second-hand table saw and a lot of stubbornness about doing things the right way. Fifteen years on, that hasn't changed — we're still small on purpose, so the person who quotes your job is the person who builds it.
We work in solid timber and quality ply, not chipboard. We use joinery that holds — dowelled and glued, not stapled. It costs a little more and takes a little longer, and it's the only way we know how to do it.
